We provide mechanical, electrical and public health design solutions for the built environment.
Our design process begins with development of passive strategies, including solar shading and daylight studies, assessing the potential for free cooling. We utilise dynamic thermal modelling to assess natural ventilation potential and risks of summertime overheating. Our main focus is always on delivering projects on program with a commitment to robust sustainable and energy efficient engineered solutions.
We provide building physics performance studies, such as to optimisation of orientation, testing shading devices, CIBSE TM52, TM54 & TM59 assessments and Part L compliance to assist with meeting Building Regulations targets.
Effective design development of system for heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, power and building energy management is required to reduce the energy and resulting carbon emission. Cornerstone Design & Consulting take a ‘future thinking’ approach to building services design.
Our experience and expertise has been developed from a diverse portfolio of projects, including corporate high rise accommodation, district energy networks, schools, theatres, housing, high and low-rise office buildings, places of worship, museums and galleries, hotels and mixed use premises.
